United to win: State Emergency Service receives modern demining equipment from Japan, including vehicles, workshops, and MinesEye system

On behalf of the ministry's leadership, Ukraine's Deputy Interior Minister Bohdan Drapiatyi thanked the Government and people of Japan for their systematic and long-term support for Ukraine, as well as for the technical assistance, which strengthens the capabilities of the State Emergency Service and other units within the Interior Ministry system.
For his part, Vitalii Myroniuk, first deputy head of Ukraine's State Emergency Service, stressed during the event that the technical assistance received would be used in frontline regions. In particular, it will strengthen the capabilities of State Emergency Service units, raise public awareness of the risks posed by explosive ordnance, and enable demining work to be carried out safely, thereby protecting the lives and health of explosives specialists.
Vitalii Myroniuk also said the State Emergency Service currently has 15 vehicles equipped as mobile mine safety classrooms. Thanks to these tools, State Emergency Service rescuers have already held awareness events in communities for 3 million Ukrainians.
Japan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine Masashi Nakagome expressed sincere gratitude to the leadership of the Interior Ministry and Ukraine's State Emergency Service for effective and fruitful cooperation and assured them of further support:
