The commander-in-chief thanked Dragone for supporting Ukraine and for his personal involvement.

At the same time, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone confirmed on social media that NATO will continue providing military support to Ukraine.

According to him, Alliance members continue to increase defense production:

"Ukraine's security is our security, and we will continue to stand with Ukraine to help achieve a just and lasting peace," the admiral stressed.

Background

As Rubryka reported, Ukrainian drone operators symbolically destroyed a US armored brigade during the Combined Resolve military exercises in Germany. Ukrainian troops operated alongside the simulated enemy, while US units gradually adjusted their tactics to counter drones.

Also, during the NATO REPMUS/Dynamic Messenger 2025 exercises, the Ukrainian team, acting as the "enemy," exposed weaknesses in the Alliance's naval forces and virtually "destroyed" an allied frigate, confirming the effectiveness of combining unmanned systems with tactical experience.

An Alliance spokesperson confirmed the exercises to Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, calling them "a historic milestone that confirms Ukraine's growing role in NATO training," as the Ukrainian fleet coordinated opposing forces for the first time.

In addition, in May, NATO invited drone operators from Ukraine to take part in the Aurora 26 military exercises in Sweden. There, they "destroyed" Swedish forces.
