Background
Borshch is the main first course of Ukrainian cuisine. In 2022, at the initiative of Yevhen Klopotenko, it was added to UNESCO's List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding.
It should be noted that Ukrainian volunteer and artist Yaryna Soniachna organizes large borshch festivals in Germany's Saarland and is working on a music album dedicated to traditional Ukrainian dishes.
A cultural and gastronomic event organized by the Embassy of Ukraine also took place in the Czech capital. It presented Ukrainian borshch as part of UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage and featured a pop-up show by Ukrainian designers.
