Drone hits non-residential building in Kyiv's Shevchenkivskyi district, injuring nine
Monitoring channels reported the movement of several drones over Kyiv before the explosion.
According to the head of state, the drone was aimed directly at the office of Oleksandr Poklad, the head of Ukraine's Security Service in the building.
The building of Ukraine's Security Service is located in the central part of the capital, near the Zoloti Vorota metro station.
At around 3:30 p.m., eyewitnesses heard an explosion. After that, thick smoke began rising in the Zoloti Vorota area.
At the same time, the Kyiv mayor reported a fire in the Shevchenkivskyi district after a drone fell on the roof of a non-residential building.
"Emergency services are heading to the scene," he added.
Klychko later said one injured person had been hospitalized.
The Kyiv City Military Administration later clarified that five people were known to have been injured at that point. They are receiving the necessary medical care while emergency services work at the scene to mitigate the consequences of the attack.

"Five people have already been injured in the Shevchenkivskyi district as a result of the fall of an enemy UAV. Medics hospitalized four of the wounded," Klychko clarified.
The Zavertailo cafe chain also reported destruction. It said its cafe near Saint Sophia Cathedral had been destroyed.
Against the backdrop of the attack, Zelenskyi instructed Poklad to "respond to the Russians adequately, tangibly and, if possible, symmetrically to this strike once everything is prepared. Our military will support this response."
At 4:12 p.m., Klychko clarified that seven people were already known to have been injured in the Shevchenkivskyi district.
"Six of the wounded are in city hospitals," he added.
At around 5 p.m., the city mayor said firefighters had extinguished the blaze in a non-residential building in the Shevchenkivskyi district. The drone strike partially destroyed the building's floor slab and exterior wall. Emergency services continue to work at the scene.
In total, nine people were injured, and medics hospitalized seven of them.
Background
It should be noted that over the past week, Russian forces have been attacking the capital with jet-powered drones almost around the clock. On September 3, Russian forces struck Kyiv with drones. Six people were injured in the enemy attack. Medics hospitalized four of the wounded.
Also on the morning of September 3, Russian troops struck the Kyiv region. Two people were injured in the attack, civilian facilities were damaged, and fires broke out in the Boryspil and Obukhiv districts.
