Ukrainian Women's Association in Portugal delivers aid to defenders on the Sumy direction
According to her, the latest shipment has already been dispatched from Portugal to the Sumy region.
As noted, the packages included essential items for the daily needs of frontline soldiers:
At the same time, the Association of Ukrainian Women in Portugal emphasizes that together with material aid, they are sending much more to the soldiers.
"We are sending gratitude. We are sending care. We are sending a part of our hearts," said Nataliia Varha.
She also thanked everyone who contributed to the aid collection — those who found time to participate in the initiative, brought necessary items, donated funds, spread information, and supported the campaign.
According to her, it is precisely these good deeds that form a large chain of support stretching from Portugal to the Sumy region.
The organization also expressed special gratitude to the volunteers "Ukraine-Portugal-Ukraine," who assisted with the delivery of the cargo. Thanks to their support, humanitarian aid is able to travel thousands of kilometers and reach those who need it most today.
The assistance is now en route to the Sumy region. The Association expressed hope that along with the boxes, the most important thing will also reach Ukrainian defenders — the feeling that they are not alone in their hardships, that people care for them, pray for them, and await their return.
The civic organization also reminded that the collection of aid is ongoing.
"Because the war, unfortunately, has not ended. And as long as our soldiers are holding Ukraine's skies and land, we must hold them.
Thank you to everyone who stands with us," emphasized Varha.
As a reminder, in the Staten Island area of New York City, the United States, the 13th Ukrainian Charity Festival took place, bringing together hundreds of members of the Ukrainian diaspora and serving as a platform to raise financial support for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It was also reported that parishioners of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church of Saints Volodymyr and Olha in Chicago raised $13,000 for the treatment, prosthetics, and rehabilitation of severely wounded Ukrainian servicemembers.
In addition, the well-known American ensemble Mosaic Choir & Orchestra held a charity concert, with all proceeds directed to support the Ukrainian educational foundation Hebron IT Academy (Lviv, Kyiv).
