IBMPU Team Showcases Ukrainian International Broadcasting at NEM Dubrovnik 2026
The team of the International Broadcasting Multimedia Platform of Ukraine (IBMPU) participated in NEM Dubrovnik 2026, one of the largest platforms for television and audiovisual industry professionals in Central and Eastern Europe. This year, Ukrainian international broadcasting was represented at the forum with its own exhibition stand.
Representing Ukrainian international broadcasting at NEM Dubrovnik 2026 were IBMPU Programming Director Vira Yelchyk, Head of Distribution Anastasiia Piddubna, and Head of TV Rights Acquisition and Sales Olha Zolotova. They presented IBMPU’s television channels, international language versions, and content catalog to distributors and potential partners from around the world, while also discussing media market trends and future cooperation opportunities.
“Today, the media market is evolving so rapidly that no company can operate effectively in isolation from global trends. Events like this provide an opportunity not only to showcase our content and explore new distribution opportunities, but also to communicate directly with leading market players, study new business models, technologies, and approaches to audience engagement,” said IBMPU Programming Director Vira Yelchyk.
She added that while IBMPU has participated in international media exhibitions before, this year marked the first time the team presented its achievements on such a large scale.
“We were the only representative from Ukraine with our own stand at the event, which became an important step toward strengthening the presence of Ukrainian international broadcasting in the global professional media community,” she noted.
Held annually since 2013, NEM brings together television executives, content distributors, streaming platforms, and media companies from across the globe. The forum traditionally features an industry conference, content marketplace, project presentations, and professional networking events.
This year’s NEM Dubrovnik welcomed more than 300 media companies, 150 exhibitors, and over 200 content buyers. Key speakers included global media industry leaders such as Sam Barnett (CEO of CME), Jens Richter (CEO Commercial and International at Fremantle), Henning Tewes (CEO of Antenna Group), and Sanja Božić-Ljubičić (CEO of Pickbox, Mediavision, and NEM).
The program featured numerous panel discussions, roundtables, and showcases addressing major industry challenges, including:
“Participation in NEM Dubrovnik 2026 enabled us not only to analyze the experience of Europe’s leading television market players, but also to lay the groundwork for new partnerships essential for the effective international distribution of Ukrainian international broadcasting content and television channels,” emphasized Anastasiia Piddubna, Head of Distribution at IBMPU.
The IBMPU team also highlighted the value of exchanging expertise on the latest artificial intelligence technologies, which are increasingly shaping content production, localization, and distribution. For an organization already integrating AI solutions into its production processes, practical case studies and tools aimed at making content more accessible to international audiences were of particular interest.
In addition to discussions, major studios presented their content slates for the coming year. Screenings and showcases were organized by industry giants including Fremantle, Lionsgate, Paramount Global Content Distribution, Global Agency, and ITV Studios.
Participation in events such as NEM Dubrovnik is an investment in the future development of the organization, the promotion of Ukrainian content worldwide, and the strengthening of Ukraine’s position in the global media market. This is why it is important for IBMPU to remain part of the international professional community and stay at the forefront of key industry developments.
