Ukrainian pilots set record for intercepting Russian drones, downing 61 Molniya UAVs in a single day

Ukrainian interceptor drone pilots managed to destroy all 61 Russian Molniya UAVs during a single daylight period. According to the brigade, the previous national record stood at 44 intercepted drones.

The crew worked continuously on their positions for nearly 18 hours. The first aerial target was neutralized at 4:10 a.m., while the 61st and final drone was destroyed at 9:47 p.m. On average, Russian forces lost one drone every 17.5 minutes.

"We worked without breaks because we clearly understand how treacherously the enemy operates. The occupiers are now using these drones not only against military positions but also against civilians in frontline towns and villages. That is why closing the sky and protecting both our comrades and peaceful residents is our top priority," the Ukrainian pilots said.
