"The problem areas that require decisions from the Ministry of Defense have been taken into work," the ministry said.
Yevhenii Khmara stressed that one of the Ministry of Defense's key tasks is:
According to him, the ministry will keep issues of medical training, timely evacuation and support for the wounded in military units under constant control. He also stressed that the lives and health of warriors must be a priority for every commander.
During the visit to military medical facilities, officials paid special attention to support for wounded service members, the work of military medical commissions, patient routes and respect for military personnel's rights at all stages of treatment and recovery.
Liubov Halan said one of the tasks is to simplify a service member's path after injury — from undergoing the necessary procedures to treatment and rehabilitation.
In particular, the Ministry of Defense plans to focus on upgrading the infrastructure of military medical facilities and supporting medical specialists who work with service members.
The ministry says it will look for additional resources to develop medical facilities. In particular, it is considering the possibility of attracting assistance from international partners.
"Medical support for Ukrainian defenders requires modern conditions and motivated, trained personnel," Khmara emphasized.
He also thanked doctors, medical workers and everyone who helps Ukrainian defenders restore their health and strength every day.
Background
It should be noted that the Army+ app has launched a new training course, "Tactical Medicine." It teaches basic battlefield first-aid skills and will help service members save their own lives and the lives of their comrades in critical situations.
In addition, service members, like all Ukrainian citizens, have the right to receive the necessary medicines under the state reimbursement program "Affordable Medicines." They can receive them free of charge or with a partial co-payment using an electronic prescription.
