Ukraine launches new phase of Black Sea strikes on Russia’s shadow fleet – Unmanned Systems Forces Commander Brovdi
As he noted, the military has moved strikes on Russia's shadow fleet from the Sea of Azov to the Black Sea.
According to him, on the night of July 15, Ukrainian drones hit 20 Russian vessels. Among them were:
Brovdi said this marks the beginning of a new phase of the Unmanned Systems Forces operation called "MoLoCHKa." He promised to publish a detailed official report and video confirmation later.
The commander also summed up the previous phase of the maritime campaign in the Sea of Azov.
"116 vessels of Russia's shadow fleet in the Sea of Azov — the first round of the naval battle is complete. Now it is the Black Sea. Today's tally: 17 oil tankers, two gas carriers, and one tugboat hunted down. An official report will follow, together with video proof," Madyar added.
Brovdi separately responded to a statement by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who, the day before, called Ukrainian strikes on tankers in the Sea of Azov "pure terrorism, worse than piracy."
Background
As Rubryka reported, on the night of July 14, the Unmanned Systems Forces of Ukraine's Armed Forces struck another 11 Russian vessels in the Sea of Azov. In total, over nine days of the "MoLoCHKa" operation, Ukrainian drones have already hit 116 watercraft.
Also, on the night of July 11, Ukraine's Defense Forces struck Russian watercraft in the Sea of Azov. The attack hit 28 vessels, including 21 tankers, as well as tugboats, dry cargo ships, and a dredger.
In addition, on the night of July 10, 13 vessels in the Sea of Azov came under attack. In the last 120 hours alone, Ukrainian drones hit 48 Russian vessels.
On the night of July 9, Ukraine's Defense Forces struck several Russian military and military-economic facilities, hitting 12 tankers, a tugboat, a dry cargo ship, the Yug Rusi oil terminal in Russia's Rostov region, and an ammunition depot in the Luhansk region.
On the night of July 8, operators of the Unmanned Systems Forces of Ukraine's Armed Forces struck another nine tankers from Russia's "shadow fleet" in the Sea of Azov. According to the military, they hit a total of 21 vessels over 72 hours.
