A little bird told me: Trump hints Ukraine may gain the right to produce Patriot missiles

During the press conference, the US president hinted that the United States would give Ukraine a license to produce Patriot missiles.

Among other things, Trump noted:

The US president stressed that if Ukraine had had many Patriot systems from the very beginning, Kyiv would have been fully protected from missiles.

"But I think you will start making them very quickly," the US president said.

Journalists also asked Trump what he thought about Ukraine's intensive strikes on Russian oil refineries. The US leader referred the question to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio:

"I think this is one of the dynamics that has changed in this war over the past few months, namely that it is becoming increasingly difficult for the Russians to defend their own airspace. And we hope this will create opportunities for negotiations to end this war," Rubio said.

At the same time, Trump said this step was an escalation, but that it "could help end the conflict."

It should be noted that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi and US President Donald Trump met in the capital of Türkiye on the sidelines of the NATO summit.

According to him, he would raise the issue of peace negotiations during the meeting.

"I think we already understand what needs to be done. We have our own vision for how to act and move this process forward. I hope we will succeed. I am convinced that you will do everything possible to end this war," the President of Ukraine said.

He added that he would also discuss cooperation with Trump in the context of the Drone Deal initiative.

"This is a very good start. I hope I will also have the opportunity today to discuss some very important details with you," the head of the Ukrainian state said.
