United to win: Zelenskyi signs Drone Deal with Danish PM as Ukraine reaches nine agreements total
Work with about 20 more countries is at various stages of negotiations.
The Drone Deal combines:
Ukraine shares its experience, technologies, and production capabilities with those who, together with it, are building a new security architecture for Europe. The Drone Deal gives Ukraine's defense industry joint production facilities and access to new markets through the official mechanisms of partner states.
The president thanked Denmark for its continued defense and financial support for Ukraine, as well as for its contributions to the PURL program. At the same time, amid constant Russian attacks, Ukraine needs the fastest possible delivery of interceptor missiles for Patriot systems. The leaders discussed opportunities to strengthen Ukrainian air defense and accelerate work on creating Europe's own anti-ballistic missile capabilities.
Background
Earlier, Rubryka reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi had arrived in the Turkish capital, where a two-day NATO summit began on July 7. On Tuesday, the Ukrainian head of state was scheduled to speak at the Defense Industries Forum, held a series of bilateral meetings, and attended a dinner for NATO member-state leaders, which US President Donald Trump was also expected to attend.
The event's website says the three main topics will be defense investment, the defense industry, and support for Ukraine.
In Ankara, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi met with Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal, during which the leaders signed a defense cooperation agreement in the Drone Deal format. This was the seventh Drone Deal Ukraine has signed with partners.
Zelenskyi also met in Ankara with Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten, during which the leaders concluded an agreement in the Drone Deal format.
