Russian missile hits Kharkiv apartment block, kills two and injures 23, including four children
According to local authorities, the first explosions rang out around 9 a.m., almost immediately after an air raid alert was announced.

The regional head also added that two people were killed in the strike — a man and a woman, about 60 years old.
According to Viktor Zabashta, director of the Kharkiv Region Emergency Medical Care Center, they were outside the building at the moment of the explosion: the man was in a car, and the woman was walking along the sidewalk.
According to Eduard Myrhorodskyi, head of the Nemyshlianskyi District Prosecutor's Office, preliminary reports indicate that Russian troops may have used a Tornado-S multiple launch rocket system.
He said the projectile hit the fifth floor of the residential building, and the blast wave also damaged neighboring buildings.
In addition, a Russian drone attacked a gas station in Kharkiv's Kyivskyi district in the morning. Information about possible casualties from that strike is still being clarified.
Rescuers, medics, law enforcement officers, and utility workers are working at the scene. Efforts to deal with the aftermath of the Russian shelling are ongoing.
