Ukraine and Lithuania announce Brave Lithuania, joint grant program for defense innovation

The letter of intent launching the program was signed in the presence of Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko and Lithuanian Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė. The document was signed by Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Defense Serhii Boiev and Lithuanian Vice Minister of National Defense Vitalija Šumierė.

Svyrydenko emphasized that Ukraine has gained unique experience in developing defense technologies during a full-scale war. She noted that Lithuania is one of Ukraine's closest partners in security and defense.

On the Ukrainian side, the program will be implemented by Brave1, Ukraine's state-supported defense technology cluster.

The program will support Ukrainian and Lithuanian projects in several priority areas of defense technology, including:

The main goal of Brave Lithuania is to accelerate the development and deployment of innovative solutions for Ukraine's Defense Forces while strengthening cooperation between the defense innovation ecosystems of both countries.

The program will also include joint developer events to identify new technological solutions and build partnerships between Ukrainian and Lithuanian innovators.

Brave Lithuania marks another step toward creating an international network of defense innovation. The initiative will help bring new battlefield technologies to the front lines more quickly, strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities, and enhance the security of its European partners.
