Russian occupation forces are firing artillery from the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Region on towns and villages only some 50km away from the city of Kryvyi Rih. Source: Oleksandr Vilkul, Head of Kryvyi Rih Military Administration According to Vilkul: "The line of contact is in Kherson Region, some 50km away from the city [of Kryvyi Rih]. Its length is over 100km. Today the orcs fired artillery on and near Osokorivka, Trudoliubivka, Kniazivka, and Tavriiske." Details: Russian occupation forces are conducting shelling from mortars, artillery, and multiple missile launchers. According to Vilkul, they are also deploying cluster and phosphorous munitions in densely populated residential areas, which is prohibited by international conventions. Vilkul said that over the course of last week Russian troops tried to storm the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to advance to the administrative border between Kherson and Dnipropetrovsk Regions. In particular, Russian troops attempted to break through near the villages of Zahradivka and Ivanivka, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine dealt them a devastating blow in retaliation, rendering the Russian troops’ attempt entirely unsuccessful. Work is underway to create defensive constructions in the city of Kryvyi Rih, though the details cannot be disclosed due to security concerns.
