Ukrainian Forces Make New Advances on Several Frontline Sectors, ISW Reports
Ukrainian Defense Forces have recently made advances on several sectors of the frontline, according to the U.S.-based Institute for the Study of War (ISW), UATV English reports
In particular, ISW analysts reported that Ukrainian forces recently advanced on the Sloviansk axis, east of Dibrova, southwest of Lyman. The advance was identified based on available battlefield data and geolocated footage.
Ukrainian forces have also made progress in the Hulyaipole area. Geolocated footage confirms that Ukrainian troops recently cleared Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups from the central and southern parts of Novosoloshyne, northwest of Hulyaipole, as well as the northern part of Shyroke, west of Hulyaipole.
In addition, geolocated footage confirms further Ukrainian advances in western Zaporizhzhia region.
The developments come amid continued intense fighting across the frontline. According to Ukraine’s General Staff, 209 combat engagements were recorded over the previous day, August 24. Russian forces continue to concentrate significant resources on the Pokrovsk axis, deploying additional reserves in attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses and advance deeper into Donetsk region.
The latest ISW assessment indicates that Ukrainian forces are maintaining pressure and making localized gains despite Russia’s continued offensive efforts on several key sectors.
