August in Ukraine: a glimpse through Rubryka's lens
Rubryka presents a selection of photos so you can see what this August in Ukraine was like.
Moreover, the Brovary district of the Kyiv region suffered the heaviest losses, with nine people killed. In total, 14 civilians died in the attack, and 22 others were injured.

On August 19, the Verkhovna Rada voted to appoint Yevhenii Khmara as Ukraine's defense minister, with 312 lawmakers backing his nomination.
Meanwhile, around 50 people rallied outside the Verkhovna Rada building in Kyiv, urging MPs not to support Khmara's appointment.
Protesters carried posters and cardboard signs with messages such as "Bring Fedorov back," "Verkhovna Rada — your turn," and "Corruption kills." They also chanted: "Do not hide behind Khmara."

This year, Rubryka also visited Faine Misto, which took place in Lviv from July 31 to August 2 at a new venue, Arena Lviv stadium, to examine what inclusive solutions the organizers offered, how they worked and what visitors themselves had to say.
Strong, brave, even if exhausted by endless sleepless nights and the hardships of war, they are still ready to keep standing up for what is theirs.
