Strike on Kyiv

Toward the end of Independence Day, the Air Force warned of Banderol missiles heading toward the Kyiv region and of a jet-powered drone moving near the capital.

In the Holosiivskyi district, drone debris fell on a 16-story residential building. As a result, walls were damaged, and windows were shattered on the 14th floor. No fire broke out.

"Emergency services are working at the scene," Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko reported.

Dnipropetrovsk region

In Dnipro, an air raid alert was announced on the evening of August 24. Later, a series of explosions rang out in the city. Local media reported them.

The Air Force warned of a jet-powered drone moving from the north. Explosions were also reported in Pavlohrad.

In addition, according to the State Emergency Service, the occupiers shelled a shopping and entertainment center in the village of Slobozhanske, Dnipro district, Dnipropetrovsk region, causing fires and property damage.

Rescuers quickly extinguished the fires. A truck and the interior finishing of the shopping and entertainment center were also damaged.

Kharkiv

In Kharkiv, a Russian missile hit the Osnovianskyi district. One person was killed in the strike, Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported.

Before that, a Molniya drone strike was recorded in the Kyivskyi district. No other details about that strike had been reported at the time.

Zaporizhzhia

Russian troops attacked Zaporizhzhia with drones. The strike damaged an apartment building, and a fire broke out in one of the apartments.

Non-residential buildings also caught fire. Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov published footage from the site of the attack, showing the aftermath of the strikes and rescuers at work.

After 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Fedorov warned of the threat of enemy-guided aerial bombs to the Zaporizhzhia region. Later, according to him, a Russian guided aerial bomb struck the regional center, killing two people.

Over the course of the day, the occupiers carried out 873 strikes on 46 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. Two people were killed, and one woman was injured in the shelling, the regional military administration reported.

Chernihiv region

In the Chernihiv region, Russian troops shelled the Koriukivka district from the evening and throughout the night. An enterprise came under attack, and a fire covering more than 3,000 square meters broke out there, the State Emergency Service reported.

In addition, rescuers said fires were recorded on the premises of road and forestry facilities, as well as private enterprises.

No information about casualties has been reported.
