Mobilization Deferment for Teachers on “Reserve+”: How to Apply

Deferrals from mobilization for school teachers will now be available via smartphone. Find out how to complete the process in “Reserve+”

Soon, school teachers will be able to apply for a deferment from mobilization directly from their smartphones using the “Reserve+” app. Currently, the agency is actively preparing for the full launch and is recruiting teachers for beta testing of the new service.

The procedure promises to be as simple as possible. You’ll no longer have to gather stacks of paper documents, wait a long time for your paperwork to be reviewed, or stand in lines. In the “Reserve+” app, you’ll simply need to submit a deferment request. Everything else happens automatically: the app verifies the information against government databases on its own. If everything matches, the deferment is processed without your involvement, and a corresponding note simply appears in your electronic military ID.

Teachers and other educational staff at regular secondary schools will be able to obtain a deferment under the new system. However, there is an important condition. This must be your primary place of employment, and your teaching load must be at least 0.75 of a full-time position. The new system is also designed for those who have not yet been granted a deferment.

If you meet these criteria and want to be among the first to use the service, the Ministry of Defense invites you to fill out a special form for beta testers.

When you submit your application through the app, the system will search for you in a special registry—the Automated Information Complex for Educational Management (AICOM for short). If your information isn’t there or contains an error, the automatic deferment may not work. To avoid unpleasant surprises, teachers are advised to contact their school’s administration in advance and verify that their information has been entered correctly into this database.

It’s worth noting that this feature is already available for certain categories. Currently, research staff, as well as faculty at universities, colleges, and vocational schools, are successfully applying for deferrals online through “Reserve+.” School teachers will be next, as the ministry is gradually expanding the app’s functionality to include various professions.

Reminder! Ukrainians in some EU countries have been required to provide data from “Reserve+” when applying for temporary protection. Find out why this situation arose, who it affects, and what the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has explained.
