"Unprecedented level of Russian arrogance": Zelenskyi reacts to Russian strike on nuclear infrastructure facility
Zelenskyi said that Russian forces had once again attacked the special area surrounding the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant. A Shahed drone struck one of the buildings of the Centralized Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage Facility.
Russia deliberately struck this specific piece of nuclear infrastructure."
According to Zelenskyi, there has been no increase in radiation levels beyond established safety norms. However, he said there has certainly been "an increase in what was already Russia's sky-high level of arrogance." Ukrainian emergency responders extinguished the fire at the facility following the strike.
The president also reported that during the same night, Russia carried out strikes on other civilian facilities across 13 regions of Ukraine. According to Zelenskyi, over the course of the week Russia launched 88 missiles, more than 3,250 attack drones, and around 1,800 guided aerial bombs (KABs) against Ukraine.
As Rubryka previously reported, on the night of June 7, Russian forces attacked the building of the Centralized Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage Facility (CSFSF) in the Kyiv region.
