EU transfers seventh Ukraine Facility tranche: Ukraine receives €2.6 billion in budget support

This means the total amount Ukraine has received under the Ukraine Facility mechanism has already exceeded 29.4 billion euros.

The funding will cover priority state budget expenditures, including social and humanitarian needs.

This is the seventh tranche Ukraine has received under the program. At this stage, the country has fulfilled 11 indicators of the Ukraine Plan. They cover reforms in public administration, economic policy, energy, digitalization, and the rule of law.

According to the prime minister, as of the end of May 2026, Ukraine had completed 86 measures under the Ukraine Plan. Another 65 measures are at various stages of implementation.

Svyrydenko said the government continues to systematically implement the necessary changes aimed at strengthening the country's economic resilience, supporting recovery, and bringing Ukraine closer to EU membership.

Background

Ukraine Facility is a 50 billion euros European Union financial support program for Ukraine for 2024-2027. The program aims to ensure macroeconomic stability, support reconstruction and modernization, and promote Ukraine's European integration.

Since the Ukraine Facility instrument began operating in 2024, Ukraine has already received 29.4 billion euros under the program. The total amount of the program for 2024-2027 is 50 billion euros.

As a reminder, the European Union has positively assessed Ukraine's reform progress despite the ongoing full-scale war. The EU's annual enlargement report states that Ukraine demonstrates "resilience and commitment to the European path" and remains among the leading candidate countries for accession. The European Commission explained that the document is "balanced" and confirms that Ukraine is among the four countries moving toward the EU, along with Moldova, Albania, and Montenegro.

As reported, on August 22, Ukraine received another tranche of 3.056 billion euros under the Ukraine Facility program and 1 billion euros under the G7 Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration for Ukraine (ERA) initiative. This was the sixth tranche under ERA and the second under the Ukraine Facility this year.

In November, it was also reported that Ukraine would receive more than 1.8 billion euros as part of the European Union's fifth regular payment. The decision became possible after Ukraine fulfilled most of the conditions set out under the EU's Ukraine Facility.
