Solutions from Ukraine: Lviv charity bike ride raises nearly €40,000 to treat children with cancer
The city traditionally doubled that amount, so a total of 2 million hryvnias will go toward helping young patients.

The funds will be used to purchase a modern ultrasound diagnostic system for the Clinical Center for Pediatric Medicine. The equipment will help doctors assess the condition of children with cancer faster and more accurately, including patients undergoing bone marrow transplants.

Over the years, the foundation, together with its partners, has systematically helped upgrade the Clinical Center for Pediatric Medicine's departments and purchase the necessary equipment.

Over the years, the bike ride has become more than a charity event for Lviv. It is a day when hundreds of people unite for the sake of children who are now going through a difficult course of treatment, reminding them and their families that they are not alone.

Background
The Zaporuka Charitable Foundation, founded in 2008, supports families with children in hospitals, shelters, and frontline areas, and provides housing and care for seriously ill children in the Dacha family homes in Kyiv and Lviv.
Over the years, the foundation has provided Ukrainians with more than 17 million US dollars in assistance and has been included on Ukraine's list of the top 100 trusted charitable organizations.
