Fast Liberation of Seized Ukrainian Territories: Air Forces Explain What May Expedite the Progress

The core of Ukrainian air defence system is still based on Soviet-era surface-to-air missile systems. Ukrainian Armed Forces could liberate the Russia-controlled territories much sooner, if they were given with American F-15 and F-16 fighter jets used by the NATO countries. These aircrafts are desperately needed by Ukraine, as Yurii Ihnat, the Spokesman of the AFU Air Force Command, said during the national TV marathon. "It would be exceptionally hard task to solve without advanced aircrafts currently used by the NATO countries, and especially F-15 and F-16 fighter jets equipped with wide range of weapon systems. Obviously, our Air Forces definitely can find the good use for them. The weapon systems available in these aircrafts will help us to quickly achieve the goal of our dream, which is liberation of all seized territories”, Ihnat said.
