Background
The non-governmental organization "Pro Arte – Munkács," led by world-renowned Zakarpattia sculptor Petro Matl, launched the "Carpathian Sculpture Route" project in 2013.
Under Petro Matl's concept, artists donate the sculptures created during the symposiums to local communities across the Zakarpattia region. These artworks integrate into local public spaces, creating a unique cultural and tourist route that now extends over 250 kilometers.
Earlier, as reported by Rubryka, a trade fair featuring veteran-owned businesses and local craft producers took place in Ivano-Frankivsk as part of the Carpathian Economic Forum.
Additionally, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced the establishment of a new regional format called the "Carpathian Eight" (C8), comprising Ukraine, Romania, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Czechia, Austria, and Serbia.
