Solutions to win: Zelenskyi demonstrates first combat launch of Ukraine's FP-7 ballistic missile
Background
Defense contractor Fire Point unveiled the FP-7 missile concept in 2025 and released footage of a test launch from a ground-based platform in February 2026.
The FP-7 tactical missile is designed to strike ground targets at ranges up to 200 kilometers. The platform carries a warhead weighing up to 150 kilograms, with a declared targeting accuracy within 14 meters. The missile achieves a maximum velocity of 1,500 m/s and reaches a maximum flight altitude of 65 kilometers.
In September 2026, Fire Point announced that the FP-7 transitioned to active military field testing. According to Fire Point CEO Iryna Terekh, the missile successfully completed two preliminary evaluation stages, comprising ground and laboratory validation, as well as flight testing.
