Russian drone strikes school building in Kyiv
Law enforcement officers noted that the strike damaged the facade of the educational building at the third-floor level, triggering a fire.
Overnight on October 1, Russian forces also attacked Kyiv with drones. In the Solomianskyi district, fires broke out on the ground floor of a 16-story residential building and among parked vehicles, while a warehouse building caught fire in the Obolonskyi district.
Medics treated one injured individual at the scene.

Overnight on October 1, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian regions with 107 Shahed-type strike UAVs and decoy drones, a significant portion of which were jet-powered. Air Defense Forces intercepted most enemy aerial targets, though strikes occurred across 11 locations.
Specifically, Russian troops struck Odesa, damaging infrastructure, alongside the roof and facade of two business center buildings, injuring one person.
Additionally, occupiers targeted the Mykolaiv region overnight and early in the morning with Shahed and Gerbera strike drones. In the Vesniane community, a 50-year-old man was killed, and a tractor was destroyed.
Furthermore, Russian forces launched a guided aerial bomb strike on a private residential sector in Sumy overnight on October 1, injuring two people and damaging approximately six residential houses according to preliminary reports.
