Russian guided bomb strikes residential neighborhood in Sumy, injuring two
"Overnight, the enemy struck Sumy with one guided aerial bomb. The impact occurred in the private residential sector of the Kovpakivskyi district," Kryvosheienko noted.
According to preliminary reports, two women aged 60 and 41 were injured and hospitalized, the official informed.
The explosion damaged around six residential buildings.
Kryvosheienko added that emergency teams are currently working to clear the debris and eliminate the consequences of the attack, with details on casualties and destruction still being clarified.
Background
On September 29, the Russian military carried out four guided bomb strikes on a school in Sumy while children were inside the facility's bomb shelter. The attack killed two people and injured nine others, including three children, hitting both the school structure and nearby residential buildings.
Additionally, on September 30, Russian troops targeted Sumy with guided aerial bombs, injuring six people according to preliminary reports.
