Though the length and shape has changed a bit over the years along with the trend cycle, Stewart is basically synonymous with a practical, timeless blowout—so when she changes it up, we pay attention! The iconic entrepreneur has embraced more of a bombshell aesthetic in recent years, especially on social media, and in her latest Instagram post, she's channeling the ultimate blonde, Pamela Anderson, with a messy twist updo that practically vibrates with va-va-voom energy.
We love a classic Martha Stewart glamour shot, and this pic has it all: glowy golden light, a slinky champagne-colored silk robe, ultra-radiant skin, and Stewart's bombshell hair, which was pulled up in an effortlessly glamorous twist with the front portion pulled out to spill over one eye, peekaboo-starlet style. We get a full look at the updo thanks to the mirror in the background, which shows that Stewart's hair has been gathered into a perfectly imperfect twist with some gently curled pieces escaping their pins for an undone, come-closer appeal and elegant softness.
Anderson's ‘90s updo was a little messier and a lot more voluminous—and was also apparently often tied with a G-string instead of a hair tie—but the DNA is definitely there, with the added bonus of Stewart’s now-signature pink lip gloss selfie pout.

Stewart in an updo may be a rare sight, but she has worn her hair up in the past, like the time she channeled Audrey Hepburn-as-Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's for a Tiffany's event, complete with the tight, jeweled updo worn by the Hollywood icon in the 1961 film. An undone updo and fancy robe is the definition of lounging in luxury, and as Stewart would say, that is a very, very good thing indeed.
