Megan Fox’s Studded Manicure Was Inspired by a Prince Albert Piercing

Megan Fox loves a studded manicure. Remember when she wore a red French mani with little silver balls all over it? Adorable. And she's also rocked pierced nails—this literally charming look last year—so it's no surprise that the nail artist behind these looks has combined both themes into a single, somewhat suggestive manicure.

Brittney Boyce, founder of Lost Angels and Fox's go-to nail artist, posted her latest creation for the actor and author on Sunday, writing just, “Obsessed.” And we get it. First of all, the gradient pink hues are absolutely gorgeous. And secondly, those studs—they're not exactly what you think of when you think of a studded manicure. But when Fox and Boyce get together, they don't typically follow any conventional nail-art rules.

“I wanted to give her something new without going overboard. It’s the perfect mix of cute and cool for summer,” Boyce tells Allure. We switched her usual almond shape to a medium coffin just to change up the vibe a bit. The two-tone pink aura keeps it soft, and the double chrome studs give it that Prince Albert edge.”

You read that right: The placement of the studs is inspired by a penis piercing.

It reminds us of Chappell Roan's Paris Fashion Week manicure from a few months ago, when studs on either side of her soap nails hint at nipple piercings. Looks like there may be a trend ascending.

For this more colorful take, “I used Aprés Gel-X Sculpted Coffin Medium Tips and their airbrush machine to create the perfect aura effect,” Boyce says. “The studs were sealed in with Orly Builder in a Bottle and finished with the Orly No Cleanse Topcoat for a clean, glassy finish.”
