"A total of 16 ballistic missiles were used overnight. There were also more than 280 drones. Unfortunately, there are casualties, and there were strikes in Kyiv, including on the Pivdennyi Bridge. This is a serious escalation in Russia's operation against our logistics," Zelenskyi said.
According to him, strikes were also reported in:
"Almost everywhere, Russia's targets are energy facilities, logistics and ordinary urban infrastructure," the president stressed.
According to the president, 12 people were injured in a Russian strike on a university campus and the surrounding area on Monday evening.
"Five of them are students and staff members of the educational institution," Zelenskyi noted.
While emergency services were helping the injured and dealing with the aftermath of the first strike, Russian forces launched another attack using ballistic missiles.
The president also highlighted delays in the delivery of interceptor missiles for the US-made Patriot and NASAMS air defence systems. He said these delays directly help Russia carry out its terror campaign.
"The artificial and prolonged delays in the delivery of interceptor packages for Patriot and NASAMS systems that we have unfortunately been seeing recently are directly helping Russia achieve the goals of its terror campaign," Zelenskyi stressed.
