Zelenskyy Announces Meeting Of Ukraine, US, EU, And NATO In Brussels
A meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, as well as representatives of the European Union and the United States, is planned for October 27-28 in Brussels.
UATV English reports that Zelenskyy himself shared this in an interview with ТСН.Тиждень.
According to him, plans call for discussing security issues, guarantees for Ukraine, and initiatives to end the war started by Russia.
The president recalled that last week in Oslo, there were not only talks with US presidential special representative Steve Witkoff, attended by Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, but also negotiations in a much wider circle — attended by security advisers of the leaders of the United Kingdom, France, and Italy, as well as European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen’s chief of staff Björn Seibert.
Now, having received information from Witkoff about his talks with Russian ruler Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg, a meeting in a broader format is planned.
“We had a briefing from the Americans, and now they want, not a briefing, but to talk broadly about security, about guarantees, about the EU and its participation. And they want a meeting this week, already in Brussels. The Americans, Ukraine, the EU at the president’s level, and NATO at the secretary general’s level. And I don’t know if anyone else will be part of this group in Brussels… And we’re planning this meeting for Tuesday-Wednesday already (October 27-28, ed.),” Zelenskyy said.
It should be recalled that on October 23, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke with US President Donald Trump’s special representatives and stated that a trilateral meeting at the team level regarding ending Russia’s war against Ukraine is planned to take place in the first half of November.
According to sources in the US government, the next round of talks between the US, Ukrainian, and Russian delegations could take place in Abu Dhabi or Switzerland.
