Ukraine launches new long-range strikes on Russia
According to the Ukrainian president, the Defense Forces struck the Ilsky Oil Refinery in Russia's Krasnodar Krai overnight on September 26. Earlier, Ukraine's General Staff reported the strike on the facility and said a fire broke out on its premises.
Zelenskyi also reported that a plant in Rostov region was struck. According to him, the facility supplies the Russian military with components for missiles and artillery. Ukrainian forces also struck a Pantsir-S2 surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery system.
The president added that logistics facilities supporting Russia's war effort were also targeted, and reported "results in the Black Sea." He did not provide details about these operations.
Zelenskyi thanked the personnel of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), Ukraine's Defense Forces, and the Ukrainian Navy for carrying out the operations.
The day before, on September 25, Zelenskyi also reported strikes on Russian oil refineries in Perm and Novoshakhtinsk, the Iskra defense plant in Ulyanovsk, and two Russian radar stations in Rostov region. The General Staff later specified that the radar stations were Gamma-S1 and Kasta-2E2.
