Strike drones attack Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia and Odesa regions: people killed and injured, buildings damaged

In the capital, drone strikes and falling debris were reported in three districts following a Russian attack involving UAVs.

At 12:49 a.m., Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that a UAV struck a warehouse building in the Solomianskyi district, where a fire broke out.

"A UAV struck a warehouse building in the Solomianskyi district. A fire is raging," Klitschko wrote.

According to him, emergency services were working at the scene.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine added that a man was killed in the latest Russian attack.

"In the Solomianskyi district of the city, a one-story service station building caught fire after being struck by a UAV. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the rescuers, the fire was prevented from spreading to a nearby food service establishment. The fire was extinguished at around 3 a.m.," the rescuers said.

Also on Saturday evening, enemy drone strikes or falling debris were reported in three districts of the capital.

At 9:21 p.m., Klitschko reported that a non-residential building in the Solomianskyi district was reportedly hit. Smoke was reported at the site, and emergency services were on their way.

The mayor also said that seven people were injured in Russian attacks in the capital on September 26. Medics provided them with outpatient care.

As of 10:07 p.m., Klitschko clarified that a UAV fell in an open area in the Solomianskyi district. The blast wave damaged a five-story residential building, shattering its windows and damaging the facade.

According to rescuers, the facade of a five-story residential building was damaged in the Solomianskyi district as a result of the Russian attack. An emergency gas service crew was also working at the scene.

Rescuers freed a door that had been damaged by the blast wave. The injured woman was handed over to medics.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a UAV reportedly struck an unoccupied residential building.

In addition, a drone attack caused a fire in a non-residential building in the Shevchenkivskyi district. Rescuers extinguished the fire over an area of 30 square meters.

In the Sviatoshynskyi district, UAV debris fell on the grounds of a preschool. According to preliminary information, there was no fire or damage there.

Zaporizhzhia region

On the evening of September 26, an air raid alert was issued in Kyiv and several regions of Ukraine due to the threat of drone attacks. Russian forces also attacked the Zaporizhzhia region.

Three people were killed in the strikes.

"The Russians killed a man in Komyshuvakha. One house was destroyed, and several others nearby were damaged," said Mykhailo Semikin, acting head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.

According to him, four people — one woman and three men — sustained injuries of varying severity.

Residential buildings were damaged, with one of them destroyed.

In Novotavriiske, Russian forces struck a car traveling through the village. The vehicle caught fire after a direct hit. The man and woman inside the car were killed at the scene.

Odesa region

Also, overnight on September 27, Russian forces attacked the city of Kiliia in the Odesa region with attack drones.

According to the Izmail District State Administration, enemy drones targeted the city's port and civilian infrastructure.

According to preliminary information, no one was injured in the attack.

A fire broke out at the site of the strike. It has since been extinguished.

As a reminder, on the morning of September 26, Russian forces carried out an airstrike with guided aerial bombs on the center of Sumy. The attack killed and injured people, including an 11-month-old child.

Also on September 26, Russian forces attacked a road in the Odesa region, damaging three trucks, with three people also injured.
