In the Kyiv region, following the capital’s lead, officials have decided to shorten the curfew hours. As reported by Timur Tkachenko, head of the regional military administration, on his social media accounts, the new schedule takes effect on September 10.

Restrictions on nighttime movement will now be in effect from 1:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.

According to the regional head, the region is fully synchronizing its schedule with Kyiv. This was done intentionally to avoid confusion for people who commute daily from the suburbs to the capital and back. Local authorities note that shortening the curfew will help businesses, transportation, and ordinary residents better adapt to life amid constant Russian attacks, in line with the government’s latest recommendations.

In addition to changing the curfew hours, the Kyiv region is taking steps to ensure safety at gas stations. Uniform and systematic requirements are being introduced for all gas stations in the region.

A large-scale inspection of gas stations will be conducted in the near future. Authorities want to test the warning systems and ensure that staff and drivers have adequate access to shelters. The stations themselves will receive clear instructions on how to respond when the sirens sound, and plans are in place to address the issue of chaotic parking on their premises.

Another important development concerns passenger safety. The regional administration has already approved a decision to install special mobile shelters at “Ukrzaliznytsia” stations throughout the Kyiv region. Thanks to this, people will have a safe place to wait out an alert while awaiting their train.
