Drone hits 24-story building in Kyiv, sparking fire and injuring people
At first, authorities reported that a UAV had hit a 16-story building. Later, Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko clarified that it was a 24-story residential building.
According to him, a fire broke out on the 12th floor of the building, and the walls were destroyed.
The Kyiv City Military Administration reported that at least four people were injured in the strike on the residential building.
Emergency services are working directly at the impact site.
At 9:18 a.m., Klychko added that five people had been injured in the enemy's morning attack on the capital.
"Medics hospitalized three of the wounded," he stressed.
Russian troops have continued attacking Kyiv and the region with drones for more than a week. Explosions were heard in the capital and the region overnight and in the morning of September 9.

As Rubryka wrote, on the night of September 8, Russian troops launched a massive strike on Kyiv and the Kyiv region. Ballistic missiles attacked the capital from three directions, while Russians launched missiles and jet-powered drones at the region. The State Emergency Service reported fires and destruction in five districts of Kyiv.
Later that afternoon, another hit struck a warehouse building in the capital's Holosiivskyi district, while a drone fell on a warehouse in the Solomianskyi district. The death toll from the attack on Kyiv rose to five, and another 29 people were injured.
In addition, during Russia's attack on Kyiv on the afternoon of September 8, the premises of the TV channels We-Ukraine and We-Ukraine+ were damaged and partially destroyed. Media workers were injured in the strike. At the time of the attack, the TV channel was broadcasting live as part of the national telethon United News.
