Drone nearly hits Zelenskyi’s plane during takeoff from Moldova to Oslo – Norwegian PM
Norwegian Finance Minister Jens Stoltenberg, who also attended the meeting with the Ukrainian president, confirmed that the departure was delayed because of threats to the aircraft.
"He told us about it last night when we had a meeting with him. I do not dare go into details, but he was late, and there were certain threats to the plane. But I do not know enough details to say anything more," Stoltenberg told the broadcaster.
Background
It should be noted that on September 8, a Russian Shahed drone violated the airspace of Romania and Moldova. Airports delayed flights as a result. The drone eventually crashed near the Moldovan village of Mihăileni Vechi. Dry grass caught fire after the crash. According to preliminary information, no one was injured.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi and First Lady Olena Zelenska also arrived in Norway on September 8. During the visit, Zelenskyi held talks with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and took part in events dedicated to the farewell to Norway's King Harald V.
