Solutions from Ukraine: Kyiv hosts 22nd AdoptMe Days festival
All animals participating in the festival have undergone veterinary examinations, vaccinations, parasite treatment, and, depending on their age, sterilization. Shelter representatives will help future pet parents on site: each curator knows the character, habits, and needs of the animals in their care.
The adoption process consists of several stages: meeting the animal, speaking with a curator, and signing an agreement. Visitors only need to bring a passport. All animals at the festival will be adopted into families free of charge.
Traditionally, new pet parents will receive gifts from the festival's partners to help make the animal's first days in a new home comfortable.
Every adoption matters: when one animal finds a family, a shelter gains space to save another. Over the past 2 years, AdoptMe Days has helped 2,331 animals find families.
The festival is designed as a space where visitors can take their time getting to know cats and dogs, talk to shelter representatives, and learn more about responsible adoption. Guests can also attend lectures on animal first aid by the Ukrainian First Aid Movement, visit a food court, relax in a dedicated area, explore interactive partner locations, and take photos at a photo zone.
The festival will be a place to spend the weekend meaningfully, learn more about responsible pet parenthood, and perhaps meet a new family member.
