The air assault was repelled by:

According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 a.m., Ukrainian air defenses had shot down or suppressed 114 enemy drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other UAV types, across northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine.

Military officials reported missile strikes and impacts by 16 attack drones at nine locations, while debris from intercepted targets fell at eight additional sites.

The Air Force added that the attack was still ongoing, with several enemy drones remaining in Ukrainian airspace.

"Follow all safety guidelines," the military urged.

As previously reported, during the night of June 16, Russian forces attacked the town of Balakliia in the Kharkiv region with strike drones. Eight people were injured in the attack, including two children.

Earlier, Russia launched a massive aerial assault involving 61 missiles and 611 drones of various types. Ukrainian air defenses shot down or suppressed 632 targets, including 50 missiles and 582 drones.

Ukrainian officials have noted that Russian forces use complex flight routes and terrain features during air attacks to complicate the work of Ukraine's air defense systems. The military also reports that drones are often routed through border areas near neighboring countries and flown at extremely low altitudes.

In addition, the Ukrainian military has urged citizens not to share photos of missile fragments or other weapons debris on social media. According to the Air Force, Russian information channels use such images for propaganda and information manipulation purposes.
