Paris exhibition showcases Ukrainian embroidered towels created by participants from 22 countries

The initiative united more than 60 Ukrainians from 22 countries around the shared goal of preserving:

At the heart of the exhibition is a collection of embroidered towels created using the technique of block printing (vybiika), one of the oldest forms of Ukrainian decorative and applied art. Visitors have the opportunity to explore the participants' works, learn more about the symbolism of traditional ornaments, and discover the history of this craft, which is currently experiencing a renewed wave of popularity.

A separate part of the event was a vybiika (traditional block-printing) workshop, where participants had the opportunity to learn the basics of this traditional craft firsthand and gain a deeper appreciation of Ukraine's cultural heritage.

The event also featured a fashion show showcasing designs inspired by Ukrainian traditions and cultural heritage.

"The show demonstrated how elements of national culture can be seamlessly integrated into contemporary fashion," the organizers noted in the post.

As previously reported, the Ukrainian community and diplomats in Edinburgh welcomed the large-scale Rushnyk of Unity project — a single embroidered canvas stretching 270 meters, which arrived in the Scottish capital after being exhibited in Tallinn.
