United to win: EU approves Ukraine’s request to buy Patriot missiles with funds from €90 bln loan
It concerns the purchase of interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems.

Earlier, Rubryka reported that Ukraine is now asking the Dutch government to provide more than 2 billion euros in aid promised for the coming years to buy these missiles. Russian strikes increasingly target not only military facilities and energy infrastructure, but also shopping centers, department stores, and other places.
Meanwhile, EU High Representative Kaja Kallas called on member states to provide Ukraine with the interceptor missiles it needs. In particular, she said countries could transfer munitions whose shelf life is due to expire soon.
It should be noted that on August 24, the European Commission approved new defense purchases for Ukraine worth 6.1 billion euros. The funds will go toward air and missile defense systems, missiles, ammunition, radar stations, and other defense-related equipment.
As reported, the European Commission sent EU member states a document proposing the use of frozen Russian assets to finance a new 140 billion euro loan for Ukraine.
