Latest Russian mass attacks on Kyiv

It is worth recalling that Russia has launched three mass attacks on the capital since the beginning of July.

On the morning of July 8, Kyiv came under another wave of drone attacks. The strikes caused destruction, injuries were reported, and three people were killed. Around noon, a Russian UAV fell and exploded near a gas distribution station in the Desnianskyi district. At around 5:30 p.m., another drone hit a 25-story residential building.

Earlier, on the night of July 6, Russian forces carried out a combined attack on Kyiv. In the Podilskyi district, a missile hit a nine-story residential building, causing partial destruction. On July 7, rescuers completed search operations in the Darnytskyi district of the capital. As of that morning, 19 people had been reported killed and 58 injured, including seven children.

In addition, on the night of July 2, Russian forces carried out one of the largest attacks on Kyiv and the Kyiv region. The attack involved strike drones, ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles. The massive combined Russian assault caused extensive damage across the capital.

On July 4, rescuers completed emergency response operations at a 16-story residential building in Kyiv's Darnytskyi district that was hit during the mass attack on July 2. The death toll from that strike rose to 31.
