Russian missile strike on Merefa, Kharkiv region, kills six, injures 31

Syniehubov stated that as a result of the attack, six people have now died. Among the victims are two men, aged 50 and 63, and two women, aged 41 and 52.

"Unfortunately, a 68-year-old man died in the hospital. Doctors did everything possible to save him, but his injuries were too severe," Syniehubov said.

The number of those injured has also increased to 31. Three people are in serious condition, while 13 others have sustained moderate blast injuries. Two victims are experiencing acute stress reactions. All those affected are receiving the necessary medical care.

Emergency services remain at the scene, documenting the aftermath of the strike and assisting victims.

As reported earlier, on the morning of May 4, Russian forces launched a missile strike on Merefa, Kharkiv region, resulting in casualties and injuries.

Background

On May 2, Russian troops also attacked Kharkiv using strike drones, damaging a gas station and car dealership and injuring at least three people.

In recent days, Russian forces have targeted eight gas stations in Kharkiv, with several attacks resulting in additional casualties.
