“It’s Easier To Blame Ukraine Than To Stop Putin”: Zelenskyy Responds To Trump And Musk’s Claims About Prolonging The War
Stopping dictator Putin is much harder than pressuring Ukraine. Accusations against Kyiv only allow the discussion to shift to other topics, including rising fuel prices. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this in an interview with ABC News, UATV English relays.
He gave this answer to a journalist’s question about why US President Donald Trump and American entrepreneur Elon Musk are accusing him of prolonging the war.
The head of state emphasized that attempts to link economic hardships to Ukraine don’t reflect reality.
“These people can’t find a way to stop Putin. Because stopping Putin is harder than pressuring others. Because it’s easier to talk about prices and link that to Ukraine. Everyone in the world understands that prices are rising because of the war in the Middle East, because of the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz — for those reasons. Everyone understands this. And if we want to communicate honestly with people, if we want clarity, if we want to speak openly with our own people, we need to stop… I mean, people need to hear the truth. There’s no need to play games with people,” Zelenskyy noted.
It was previously reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk discussed strengthening Ukraine’s position and its ability to defend against Russian aggression.
