Solutions from Ukraine: Over 52,000 users from nearly 100 countries visit Dodomu platform in its first months
Russia's full-scale war forced millions of Ukrainians to flee abroad, creating a severe demographic and economic challenge for the country. Ukraine urgently needs its citizens to return to support national resilience, rebuild critical infrastructure, and drive economic recovery.
However, many displaced Ukrainians face uncertainty regarding job opportunities, housing, social support, and clear step-by-step procedures for returning home. Without verified information and accessible digital tools outlining job prospects and return algorithms, making the decision to reintegrate remains difficult for those living overseas.
To support Ukrainians, the digital platform Dodomu has been created as a single access point for information and services needed to prepare for returning to Ukraine and reintegration.
The platform launched in test mode in June 2026.
The deputy minister emphasized that, because the platform continues to operate in test mode, developers encourage users to submit feedback and suggestions via an online form. These insights will shape the portal's ongoing development and content integration.
The platform consolidates information on state services, social support in Ukraine, and other tools needed to make well-informed decisions about returning and reintegrating. A dedicated section highlights the Unity Network — Unity Centers and partner organizations abroad, where Ukrainians can receive support and maintain connections with Ukraine.
Additionally, the platform features profile sections for communities prepared to welcome and support individuals during reintegration. Users can find details about local services, infrastructure, opportunities, and contact points. Currently, nearly 150 communities from various regions of Ukraine present their profiles on the site.
Background
Developers created the Dodomu platform within the YOUA project — "Shaping New Paths, Building Ukraine's Future" — implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Government in cooperation with Ukraine's Ministry for Social Policy, Family, and Unity. NGO "Technologies of Progress" served as the technical developer.
As Rubryka previously reported, Ukraine launched the Dodomu digital platform in test mode for citizens residing abroad who are considering returning home. The service aims to assist in gathering the necessary information to make decisions and prepare for reintegration.
