Organizers selected the initiatives on a competitive basis among Swiss companies operating branches or representative offices in Ukraine. The projects involve direct on-the-ground implementation and aim to meet the urgent needs of Ukrainian communities.

At the same time, the initiatives will yield a long-term economic effect. Specifically, they will contribute to job creation and preservation, the development of Ukrainian specialists' professional competencies, and the transfer of Swiss expertise through targeted training and practical cooperation. For Swiss businesses, participating in such projects also creates opportunities to strengthen existing partnerships in Ukraine and deepen their presence in the Ukrainian market.

The competitive selection process required project proposals valued between 3 million and 30 million Swiss francs. Winning companies were required to co-finance at least 10% of the project's cost with their own funds.
