Russian forces strike passenger bus with drone in Nikopol district, killing five and injuring others
According to Hanzha, the Russian drone struck the bus directly while it was carrying passengers.
He also said seven injured people were receiving medical care.
Commenting on the attack, Lukashuk stressed that Russian troops regularly target civilians in the Nikopol district.
"The Russians callously struck a passenger bus. Just a minibus carrying people going about their daily lives. Five people are dead. Many are injured. Monsters. My sincere condolences to the families of those killed. I wish all the injured a speedy recovery," he wrote.
The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office opened a criminal investigation into the attack as a war crime under the relevant section of Article 438 of Ukraine's Criminal Code.

Background
Russian troops continue to attack civilians and emergency responders. In the Dnipropetrovsk region, a drone strike on a car killed two miners, while in Kherson, Russian forces struck a fire engine in a follow-up attack as crews dealt with the aftermath of an earlier strike.
A 76-year-old Kherson resident also died in hospital after a Russian drone strike on a minibus in the city's Tsentralnyi district injured her the day before. Her death brought the toll from that attack to two.
On August 27, Russian troops carried out another drone attack on a minibus in Kherson. The attack injured several people, including the driver.
