Russian forces strike Kyiv with ballistic missiles overnight
The Air Force had warned of a ballistic strike threat, and within minutes, air defense forces were operating in the capital.
The State Emergency Service said rescuers had already extinguished both fires. They put out the fire at the warehouse site in the Holosiivskyi district, as well as the blaze that engulfed cars in the Darnytskyi district.
In addition, a crater formed at one of the strike sites. The blast wave damaged windows in the main building and an auxiliary building of one of the boarding schools.

According to the State Emergency Service, no fires broke out at these locations.

It should be noted that Russia has carried out four massive attacks on the capital since the beginning of July. On the night of July 11, Russian troops launched a ballistic strike on Kyiv. Ten people were injured, including one child. At the same time, President Zelenskyi said that 11 people were wounded during the overnight Russian attack.
On the morning of July 8, Kyiv also came under a new wave of drone attacks. The shelling caused destruction, injured people, and killed three others. A Russian UAV fell and exploded near a gas distribution station in the Desnianskyi district. Another UAV hit a 25-story residential building.
In addition, on the night of July 6, Russia launched a massive strike on the Kyiv region. The Bucha, Vyshhorod, and Brovary districts suffered the most. In response to the aftermath of the overnight Russian attack, railway traffic was temporarily reorganized on some sections.
As Rubryka reported, a Russian attack and subsequent detonation of ammunition in Vyshneve, Kyiv region, on July 6 killed nine people. Almost two dozen others were injured and hospitalized. In total, more than 90 buildings were destroyed, and about 280 residential buildings were damaged, including 253 private houses and 27 apartment blocks.
