Ukrainian long-range weapons hit Ufa oil refinery again and strike Penza defense facility – Zelenskyi
According to the president, another target was a strategic facility in Russia's Penza region.
The facility is part of Russia's military-industrial complex and develops and manufactures components for missile weapons used by occupation forces to strike Ukrainian cities and communities.
Zelenskyi said the target was about 600 kilometers from the front line.
At the same time, the General Staff clarified that overnight on July 1, as part of efforts to reduce the Russian aggressor's military and economic potential, units of Ukraine's Defense Forces struck JSC Scientific Research Institute of Physical Measurements in Russia's Penza region.
Hits and smoke were recorded at the facility.
Background
It should be noted that overnight on June 30, Ukrainian drones struck the Dubna space communications center in Russia's Moscow region for a second time. The facility is used for reconnaissance and coordination of Russian occupation forces' actions in Ukraine.
Also overnight on June 27, Ukraine's Defense Forces struck the Titan-Barrikady enterprise in Volgograd, a facility involved in producing weapons for the Russian army. The military also hit other military targets in Russia and occupied Crimea.
