United to win: Ukrainian community in New York raises funds for front line at charity festival
The festive program began with a Divine Liturgy, after which charitable and cultural venues opened to visitors. The festival is considered one of the largest regular community gatherings of Ukrainians in this part of New York.

The headliner of the event was Serhii Lazanovskyi, winner of the TV show "The Voice of the Country." During his performance, he sang alongside Roman Kalyn, the frontman of the band Gryndzholy.

The concert program also featured:
Iryna Sakhariieva, Mariia Shchupak, the Kryla duo of Andrii and Yaryna Zatonski, the Charky band, and Solomiia Ivanochko. Students of Kryla Vocal & Art Studio, the Yunost choreographic ensemble, and the children's choir Moloda Dumka, led by conductor Vasyl Hrechynskyi, also gave separate performances.

The Staten Island festival organizers stressed that all funds raised during the event, without exception, will be transferred immediately to the front line for units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It should be noted that the well-known American ensemble Mosaic Choir & Orchestra held a charity concert, with all proceeds directed to support the Ukrainian educational foundation Hebron IT Academy in Lviv and Kyiv.
It was also reported that parishioners of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church of Saints Volodymyr and Olha in Chicago raised 13,000 US dollars for the treatment, prosthetic,s and rehabilitation of severely wounded Ukrainian service members.
In addition, the famous Soldier Field 10-mile race took place in downtown Chicago on May 23, 2026. It is one of the best-known sporting events in the United States. This year, as part of official Memorial Day Weekend events and ahead of National Barrier-Free Week, a delegation of 10 Ukrainian service members joined American veterans.
