Solutions to win: New Ukrainian electronic warfare station counters FPV drones at ranges of up to 50 km
According to the developers, they created the new model in response to the growing operating range of Russian FPV drones and the military's need for an electronic warfare system that can be operated remotely.
According to the company, STRYI has already been used in combat conditions. In particular, troops used the system during missions on the Kharkiv frontline.
"During a rotation in the Kharkiv direction, the BORYSLAV detector detected an enemy FPV drone on the 3.3 GHz frequency. After identifying the likely flight area, the operator used the STRYI electronic warfare station. The drone was suppressed, which made it possible to carry out the rotation without losses," the press release said.
The station is designed to suppress FPV drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles that use radio channels for control and video transmission. At the same time, it is not intended to counter systems that use satellite communication channels.
STRYI has two independent 100 W emission channels:
They can operate simultaneously, providing a total output of up to 200 W.
The system creates radio interference in the form of an analog video signal or white noise in selected frequency ranges. According to the developer, the effective signal suppression range can reach 50 kilometers.
Operators control the system through a secure web interface. It can operate autonomously for up to 60 hours. The station also has a rotating platform and a camera, allowing the operator to direct emissions toward the threat sector within 300° horizontally and from -60° to 25° vertically.
The company also said that STRYI has already been codified for use by Ukraine's Defense Forces and is available on the Brave1 Market and DOT-Chain Defense platforms.
Background
It should be noted that Ukrainian developers have presented ultra-light directional antennas designed to help increase signal transmission range and make it more resistant to interference.
