"Ukraine is close, wherever they are": Ukrainian summer week in Berlin helps children stay connected to Ukraine
The free program is designed primarily for primary school-aged children, ages 7 to 11. The organizers say the event aims to create a space where children can:
The Ukrainian summer week will run daily from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. local time.

Participants will also work on creating their own video blog.
The first day of the program will focus on getting to know one another, teamwork, and the "Laboratory of Emotions." During these sessions, children will learn to better understand their own emotions and the feelings of others through creative exercises, games, and art therapy.
The organizers will dedicate the second day to Crimea. Participants will learn more about the history and culture of the Ukrainian peninsula, study several words in Crimean Tatar, create a tote bag with the traditional Ornek ornament, and try themselves in the roles of journalists and hosts of their own podcast.
On Wednesday, children will take part in sports activities, children's yoga classes, and German-language learning in a game-based format.
Thursday will be a day of creativity and art. Participants will create their own "noise orchestra" and take part in an acting workshop led by the Ukrainian theater Wolliart Theatre Berlin.
The final stage of the Ukrainian summer week will be the premiere of the children's video blog, which participants will create throughout all five days of the program. The final day will also include the presentation of certificates and commemorative gifts, as well as a screening of the Ukrainian feature film "Khreshchatyk, 48/2," presented by the Ukrajina Cinema initiative.

Background
It should be noted that the Center for Ukrainian Unity has started operating in Berlin and has already welcomed its first visitors. The center provides consultations and information support and organizes educational and cultural events for Ukrainians abroad.
